CEO – Stephanie Kleinheinz, RN, MSN, FNP-c
In her 15 years at School Health Clinics, Stephanie held various organizational roles. After 9 years at Kaiser Permanente as a critical care nurse, she began her career at SHC as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Gilroy and Washington Neighborhood Clinic sites. She became Clinic Manager in 2009, Director of Clinic Services in 2012, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2015. Stephanie is passionate about providing quality healthcare to underserved populations and is committed to improving healthcare access for all. Her experience throughout the years has helped to inform and inspire Stephanie to focus the organization toward addressing social determinants of health, childhood experience, and behavioral health care as an integral part of primary medical care. She strives to care for the whole person and the whole family to achieve positive health outcomes for those who are most in need in Santa Clara County.
Chief of Operations/Chief Financial Officer - Jocelyn Hart
Jocelyn joined School Health Clinics in 2015 and oversees operations including facilities, IT and finance. She has more than 15 years of healthcare management experience in the medical and dental fields. Jocelyn received her undergraduate degree in health science with a minor in sociology from San José State University. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Medical Director – Claude Rogé, M.D.
Dr. Rogé is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Before joining the School Health Clinics, Dr. Rogé practiced at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara as a pediatric cardiologist, and at UCSF where he was a clinical professor of pediatrics. Dr. Rogé has also been a member of medical teams serving in Africa, Haiti, and Peru.
Director of Clinical Operations– Carissa Pasby
Carissa is a healthcare administrator and is the Director of Clinical Operations at School Health Clinics. She has experience in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare systems. Before joining SHC, she served as the Acute Rehab Program Coordinator for Kindred Healthcare and managed the operations and quality of patient outcomes of the stroke program at El Camino Health Rehabilitation Center. She championed and developed several programs at El Camino including stroke program accreditation, performance and process improvement, recreational therapy, patient satisfaction, employee and patient engagement, and quality metrics reporting. In addition to her healthcare administration experience in acute care, she also served in patient care as a kinesiologist and rehabilitation aide for both inpatient acute rehab and outpatient physical therapy clinics serving a wide range of patient populations. Carissa has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Jose State University and Master of Health Administration from Maryville University of St. Louis. Her mission is to improve the operations and quality of healthcare systems to positively impact and influence the delivery of medical care to all individuals spanning the lifespan.

I.T. Director - Clemente Casuga
Clemente has been in the IT field for over 25 years starting with Santa Clara County as a Systems Analyst and rising to become a Sr. Management Systems Analyst at Valley Medical Center. He then worked as an EHR Specialist for Siemens Health Care supporting several hospitals, including Valley Care in Pleasanton, CA. Prior to joining School Health Clinics, he was the Data Analytics Manager at another FQHC. Clemente’s expertise includes NextGen, EPIC, SQL and various data reporting tools. Because of his leadership in the FQHC field, he was chosen as the Chairperson for the Community Health Partnership HIT workgroup.

Vanessa Madera - Assistant Clinical Manager
Vanessa joined School Health Clinics in August, 2017, assuming a variety of administrative roles until her promotion to Assistant Clinic Manager in November 2019. She is responsible for assisting with patient care, coordinating audits, and supporting clinics operations and staff. She has an associate’s degree in Health Science and is a certified Community Health Worker. A San José native, Vanessa is passionate about helping the community she grew up in and values the teamwork and loyalty that SHC staff share in helping its patients and community.
